Products – Washington, District of Columbia
Department Products
Employment Type Full-time

Join us as we revolutionize the hospital pharmacy landscape!

Our mission is to wow customers with smart, elegant solutions that help healthcare providers increase efficiency, safety and visibility from manufacturer to bedside.

Our 'vibe' is start-up, but we already have over 400 customers who are tracking medications using our proven solutions. If you have a knack for making complex things simple and an interest in the practical application of artificial intelligence and IoT technologies, we have a place for you!

Do you have a nicely balanced left and right brain such that you are a great analytical thinker who can come up with creative solutions?  Are you highly empathetic with your users and love to champion their needs while at the same time can carve a practical path forward based on the available resources? Do you obsess about knowing how every feature works in the products you own and being the subject matter expert in your users use cases? This might be the job for you.

We are looking for a Product Designer / Product Owner for our flagship product with over 500 customers and our restful API used by Pharmaceutical manufacturers. In this role, you own the requirements for the features we build and are measured based on the value and delight we deliver to our end users. You work with the Product Manager to understand the priorities and business objectives of the product roadmap and then prioritize your time accordingly. You work with our clients and parse through usage data to dive into the specifics  and really understand the problems they face. You collaborate with your UX/UI Designer to create innovative, intuitive solutions that provide real value.  You are the subject matter expert for the product and our customer use cases and diligently work to share that knowledge with customers and co-workers. You serve as the product owner, planning what goes into each sprint, ensuring engineering and QA have the information they need to keep moving forward and making tough calls when needed to ship on time without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Know your products and users backwards and forwards
  • Understand the product roadmap and prioritize your time accordingly
  • Conduct user research to validate solutions and designs before we start development
  • Produce user stories, wireframes, storyboards and other artifacts and have them “ready” a couple of sprints ahead of when we plan to develop them
  • Own the “definition of done” and final acceptance testing for new features
  • Collaborate with your UX Designer to deliver delightful experiences to our users that deliver real value
  • Manage the backlog and help prioritize stories within and across sprints to ensure timely delivery of the overall feature/epic
  • Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA on a day-to-day basis to ensure they have the information they need to be productive
  • Analyze application usage, track feature adoption, identify future opportunities for improvement and generally ensure our investments are driving toward the appropriate business objective
  • Help produce and maintain internal release notes and end user documentation including in-app walkthroughs
  • Partner with your engineering and QA leads to constantly improve quality, efficiencies and effectiveness of the team
  • Doggedly triage issues escalated by Support and answer product questions coming from customer facing departments
  • Lead our GxP processes related to our Pharma Manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as one or more of the following product manager, business analyst, product owner, etc.
  • BA/BS degree
  • Previous coding experience (even if recreational) highly desired
  • Experience organizing/conducting client/market research
  • Have an opinion but also a high enough EQ that people actually like working with you
  • Previous healthcare experience a plus but not required
  • Experience working on Agile teams
  • Previous experience working on GxP projects highly desired
